Composer's Biography
Deák was born in 1942, in Los Angeles, California. He lived in the Pasadena area 64 years and attended Pasadena schools. He later studied composition with Ellis Kohs and Morton Lauridsen at USC in Los Angeles. Michael works as a professional jazz pianist in retirement and continues to compose. He currently resides in Gig Harbor, Washington with his wife, Barbara.
