Composer's Biography
Joanne Griffiths from Manchester U.K. gained a teaching Diploma (LTCL) in 1988 and spent many years giving individual private piano/theory of music lessons. She also taught extensively in Primary schools, writing and arranging music for varying groups of instruments and choirs. In her spare time, she also enjoyed working with amateur dramatic societies playing piano and creating ensembles to accompany musicals and charity shows. In 2008, Joanne returned to education as a mature student, studying for a BA in Music, specializing in composition, gaining a 1st class honours degree in 2011. 2011/12 will see her continuing to study for an MA in composition at Salford University under the guidance of Mr Joseph Duddell and Dr Alan Williams.
