Composer's Biography
Patricia Saunders won a scholarship to study the piano in London, and studied with Tanya Polunin, Edith Vogel, and Peter Wallfisch. She started her career as a concert pianist in London, and played at venues throughout the UK. Later on, Patricia changed to music composition and studied with Oliver Knussen and Patrick Stanford. Her orchestral works, which are romantic in flavour, have been performed at venues in the UK and the US. Patricia received an award from the Oppenheim-Downes Trust to enable her to spend more time composing. Other performances of her music include works for chamber orchestra, instrumental groups, choral groups, organ, and voice.
