Composer's Biography
Belgian pianist and composer of Chinese origin, now lives in Los Angeles, U.S.A. After her graduation from the Royal Music Conservatory of Brussels with various diplomas (the Advanced Diploma in Piano, the First Prize Diploma in Chamber Music, the Higher Diploma in Music Analysis, First Prize diplomas in Written Harmony and Counterpoint), she devoted herself to piano teaching and studied composition under the guidance of Mrs. Berthe di Vito-Delvaux, a great Belgian woman composer. Her works, including piano teaching methods, pieces for piano, for voice, for chamber ensembles and for orchestra, have been performed in Belgium, China and in the United States. Weily Luc is a member of the Union of Belgian Composers as well as the Chinese Woman Composers’ Association. She now continues piano teaching and music composition in Los Angeles.
